How I created the Delta Splitting Axe…We began with the most flexible tool of all: pencil and paper. Sketching by hand allowed us to instantly adjust, refine, and reposition features until every element found its place. Once satisfied with the basic outline, we transitioned into 3D CAD software. This step not only gave the design digital precision but also allowed us to calculate essential factors like weight distribution and cutting angles.

 With the digital model complete, we moved to rapid prototyping. A 3D plastic print gave us a tangible version of the axe, something we could hold, inspect, and evaluate in real space. From there, the challenge was selecting the ideal metal—balancing durability, strength, and performance—to bring the design from concept to reality.

 The chosen design was then sent to a manufacturer for prototyping, where a first metal sample was produced. Once delivered, we subjected it to rigorous testing. Every strike revealed weaknesses, but each flaw became an opportunity for evolution. By identifying imperfections and adapting them into stronger solutions, we shaped the axe into a more advanced, innovative creation—turning every limitation into the foundation for its next-level form.
